Susan Macaulay on what’s important in life.
The brevity of life becomes so much more apparent when we stand on the threshold of death’s door with a loved one or by ourselves. When we stand with a loved one, we are sometimes torn between wanting them to go so their suffering will end, and wanting them to stay because we know we will suffer by missing them when they are gone. That’s why each and every moment and each and every thing in our lives is precious. All to soon it will all be gone.
